Great photos, looks like s great trail. I'm trying to find more long trails like this off the streets. You may have heard that the Gadreaux brothers, one a national hockey player, were killed by an aggressive drunk driver while riding on a country road in New Jersey. That's one county over from me. Their tragic deaths have fired people up, but I'm not sure we'll see much change. I've stuck to trails with no cars.

Lovely description of your biking day! I’m envious …I used to bike a lot until an injury. The buildings in the distance look like a Midwest Stonehenge! Love your sunny photos

Looked like a nice ride if your legs are strong enough. Had to test out my legs moving my Fisher Grandpa stove. Had my son-in-law and he kept telling me to lift with my legs. The trick was moving it from an elevated fireplace to the floor then putting it on heavy duty furniture rollers. Legs are sore today but got her back to her original location so the whole house will be heated. Even though it is a grandpa stove my wife calls it her. She said she works hard at keeping the house warm. I was losing to much of my heat up the fireplace flue. A Fisher grandpa stove weighs around 450 pounds.

Love the boardwalks. The pictures are excellent. What kind of a snake is that? Its size looks dangerous. Last question is what is the weather like as there was excessive heat warning here. Even rain here doesn’t provide enough relief

The garter snake was only about 12 inches long and they are totally harmless to humans. The temps here today were in the 70s and it looks like we’ll get into the 80s this week.

LaCrosse Eagles > Superior Eagles

I'll die on this bluff.

Bears still suck, though.

Now & forever.

I love to see such trails and critters. And biking makes so little noise! Thanks for all you write and see and sharing it.

Just the image of your finely festooned page is a delight, Kent! I used to lean my bike this way and that, against trees or wooden bridge guardrails, as they are central to bike rides. And can’t take selfies. I love the powerful lines of the lighthouse. As well as the rest of the images from your ride yesterday. Beckoning.
