I stamp, therefore I am.

If you ink me, do I not imprint?

… are you seriously gonna let me go on with this?!

Yes! Stacky is learning the existential dread of life. Soon he will write about it on substack.

Stacky and the bug talk and listen to each other. How unhuman.

Must be something in that lake water.

Does Stacky want to become a paper cut, or is that a realm too far into the absurd? Perhaps if I could swing buying a stamp I could cut around the stamp out line. Is that just insane?

Let me know.

Kent Peterson's avatar

Not insane at all. Stacky is gradually taking over all media, so why not papercuts?

Kent, will you be the voice of Stacky?

Kent Peterson's avatar

I think Stacky speaks to each of us in a voice that is distictly his own.

That the real Zen, when the Zen master lashes you ten times with grandmotherly kindness, pretty sure I picked that up from Gary Snyder. At any rate great writing both funny and profound.

Haha, thank you for putting a big smile on my face today with this :)

I have never quite understood why the watchmaker argument for the existence of god is considered invalid. It seems to me that god could create himself or herself or itself if he or she or it is god. Anyway, here is perhaps a relevant article, https://www.huffpost.com/entry/intelligent-design-watchmaker_b_1730878.

I'm excited to share my book with you, when ever the hell it's finished (at a point in the future TBD) - this post will be a nice companion to it.

On a side note, I went on Substack help today and saw one of your posts in there as a how to. Which made me happy.

Existentialism indeed: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Existence_precedes_essence

To claim that existence precedes essence is to assert that there is no such predetermined essence to be found in humans, and that an individual's essence is defined by the individual through how that individual creates and lives his or her life. As Sartre puts it in his Existentialism is a Humanism: "man first of all exists, encounters himself, surges up in the world – and defines himself afterwards".
